The Nezu Museum is a contemporary structure that houses the collection of pre-modern Japanese and East Asian art amassed by Japanese industrialist Nezu Kaichirō (1860-1940). It is also nestled in an extraordinary inner-city private garden of awe-inspiring beauty.
There are several places where one can sit quietly and practice a private meditation session. Best to bring a hat and sunglasses and arrive at opening time since that is when it is least busy. The best is in the far corner of the garden where one can find a quiet hut in a bamboo grove.
